Josep Brasco was the Head Coach of the Spanish National team from 1973 up to 1978 contributing to the promotion of Spain as emerging power of the International Water Polo. During his era the Spanish Water Polo knew its first successes, such as the 3d place at Duisburg, 1973 European Junior Championships, the 7th place at Vienna 1974 European Men Championships, the 2nd place at Jonkoping 1975 European Junior Championships and 3rd place at Malta 1976 European Junior Championships. In 1984 he was the Head Coach of the Greek National team that took the 8th place at the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games, the best position up to that moment for Greek National team at the Olympics. His great carrier includes also coaching the Saudi Arabia National team and many club teams, such as: CN Ortigia Italy, Sabadell (Spain), CN Martolell (Spain), NC Chios (Greece), Barceloneta (Spain), NC Vouliagmeni (Greece), CN Mediterrani (Spain) and Zamalek Cairo (Egypt). Josep Brasco is a courageous coach who dared to offer ground to many young players such Mauel Estiarte (Spain) and Giorgos Mavrotas(Greece). Josep Brasco is actually Technical assistant of C.N. Mediterrany (Spain), responsible of the development of Water Polo Age groups.
