The 1934 team of “Lancaster Water Polo Club”. The 30's saw tremendous competition from the great teams such as Blackburn, Wigan, Hyde Seal and Oldham Police, who all went on to win the "English Cup" before Lancaster again found a winning streak, and certainly the most successful era in the history of the club. These years were dominated by the great George Nevinson who led Lancaster to Championship wins in the North Lancashire League in 1935 and 1939
