Carlo Peretti was born in Florence, Italy on 1930. He started playing Water Polo at the age of 12 for “Rari Nantes Florentia”. He won the Italian Championship in 1948 with R.N.Florentia and then in 1953 moved to Genova in order to study as civil engeneer. Being away from his homeland he tranfered to Camogli and won the '53 and '55 Italian Championships. On 1956 he moved to Rome and played for the “SS Lazio” winning another Italian Championship. He competed with the Italian National team into the Helsinki 1952 and Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games.
