The 2nd Mediterranean Games were held in Barcelona, Spain from July 16 to 25, 1955. The symbol of an amphora filled with Mediterranean Sea water was then used for the first time. Carlo Pedersoli “Bud Spencer” competed with the Italian National Water Polo team, winner of the gold medal. France was 2nd and Spain 3rd. The Italian team: Alfonso Buonocore, Enzo Cavazioni, Federico Dennerlein, Raffaele Gambino, Salvatore Gionta, Maurizio Mannelli, Carlo Marcotulli, Angelo Marciani, Carlo Pedersoli, Carlo Peretti, Eraldo Pizzo, Paolo Pucci and Cesare Rubini
