Monte Nitzkowski, coaching the team of USA to the bronze medal at Munich 1972, Olympic Games. The US team: James Stanton, Stanley Cole, Russel Webb, Barry Weitzenberg, Gary Sheerer, Bruce Bradley, Peter Asch, James Ferguson, Steven Barnett, John Parker and Eric Lindroth.
The US team into the final round lost from Hungary 5-3, tied with USSR 6-6, tied with Germany 4-4 and won against Yugoslavia 5-3 and Italy 6-5.
